Personal Support Workers (PSW)
PSWs are responsible for attendant care and perform a variety of duties that range from housekeeping, to medication administration. Their role is often essential to MVA clients who require hands on care.
They care for people who are ill, elderly or need help with daily tasks. PSWs make sure clients are comfortable, safe and enjoy emotional and physical well-being. Most of this work will happen in home or in hospital depending on what part of the rehabilitation process the client is at. Typically they provide bedside and personal care to clients and help them move, bathe, groom, and dress. They also assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and changing bandages.
